Volume 44: Life Just Got Real

Image
Salut!     Well it's been a week! The big transfer came and I got moved up north back to the same district that I was in again. But a different area so it's all good. We are just getting so many missionnaires, from brand new, to just new to this mission (people that get sent from their reassignments). So everyone is getting moved around. Now with everything happening, I have the blessing to finally train someone. It's been a huge worry for me, but now I've got no choice lol we are just in it together. I'm now in Victoriaville, and there were no elders here last time so everything is brand new. New members, new appartment, new friends, new Walmart. It's pretty beautiful here, not very big and it's a small branch. The first day at church was crazy, so many kids with how little the branch is. They were everywhere. There is also slim to no English here cause it's more north, a lot different than Longueuil, but that's ok. Basically very Québécois, very fe...

Salut guys!     It's sooooo hot here oh my goodness we are out here dying, apparently it's never like this. We thought it would only last a week but it keeps getting worse lol, but honestly it will probably just snow the minute September will hit. Also I can't believe September is next week! That's insane! Sorry for everyone who has to go to school lol.     This past week flew by! Also I think we made supper one time, all of a sudden all the membywhat to feed us! I guess that's what happens when you cover multiple wards! The members here really are great, it's so crazy how all of them speak at least 2 languages. It's just so normal to do here, much different then what I'm used to. There is lots and lots of Spanish, French, and English here. Also I've been mistaken for being Latino two times this transfer... I have no idea how I'm definitely white. But that's ok.     We serve at a place called Provisions. It's where people get a huge cart ...

Volume 42: Please Don't Say I Love You

Salut à tous!     This was another fast week! We had lots of events that happened throughout the week, so that made it go by a lot faster! It's also sooooo hot here it's like 40 with the humidity, it's literally insane. Luckily we have decent AC in the appartment so we are blessed to have that. It's just supposed to get hotter tho. Summer as a missionary is definitely something else, wearing white shirts and ties in in the heat all the time is a different feeling.     We had zone conference this week! It was awesome, and the first one from President Harkness, so it was quite different than the ones we are used to with President Low. But it was great, and I learned a lot about the importance of counciling with others in the mission. The point that stook out to me the most was how to prepare for councils (any type). President and Sister Harkness stressed that it really is simply studying the scriptures, praying, and just being good people that will keep the spirit with...

Volume 41: Pop < Water

Salut!     Hope everyone is doing well! This week flew by... until yesterday, that day did not. It's also super hot, and will be for this whole week. Even if the sun isn't out, you feel like you're drinking the air. It's not the most pleasant thing, but it is what it is. Also thanks for all the birthday wishes means a lot!     So we had 2 exchanges this week, which probably made the week go by faster. One was in Granby with the other Elders in our district, where I started my mission, and the other was here in Longueuil with the zone leaders. They were both super fun, and in Granby I was able to see some old friends that I hadn't seen in a while! I was able to see good old Annie, and the Wongs! I ate at the Wongs in their personal Japanese garden that they built, it's very beautiful! They even had a little desert for my birthday which was super nice. Then after we luckily got to see Annie for a little bit. We caught her calling in her chickens, and they actually...

Volume 40: Gang Gang

Salut mes amis!     Hope yall had a great week! Not a lot of time again hehe, but it was a good week! Definitely went by fast that's for sure, and for this coming week we got lots of good things planned! We have 2 exchanges in person, so that will be fun.     So we do a lot of specific knocking, just with people we have taught in the past. Still knocking tho, it's crazy and scary but fun cause you meet all kinds of people. This one in particular was a man who was shirtless, mexican, former gang member, but really nice so that's good. He ended up talking to us for 45 minutes giving us really good advice for the future. What a nice man. His body was full of tattoos of scriptures in Spanish I think, and he had lots of scars. He really has been through it all. The funny thing was that when we knocked, he opened the door and his wife pushed him out and closed the door cause she didn't want anything to do with us. But he did. We are going back next week lol.     ...
