Volume 43: Not Another Mouse!
Salut guys!
It's sooooo hot here oh my goodness we are out here dying, apparently it's never like this. We thought it would only last a week but it keeps getting worse lol, but honestly it will probably just snow the minute September will hit. Also I can't believe September is next week! That's insane! Sorry for everyone who has to go to school lol.
This past week flew by! Also I think we made supper one time, all of a sudden all the membywhat to feed us! I guess that's what happens when you cover multiple wards! The members here really are great, it's so crazy how all of them speak at least 2 languages. It's just so normal to do here, much different then what I'm used to. There is lots and lots of Spanish, French, and English here. Also I've been mistaken for being Latino two times this transfer... I have no idea how I'm definitely white. But that's ok.
We serve at a place called Provisions. It's where people get a huge cart of food for $20. But most of the food is overdue, so we end up chucking lots of rotten fruit, and veggies. The smell is amazing, but luckily we have gloves. This past week we were doing cucumbers. As we were sorting the cucumbers, we noticed some mouse poop in some of them, so we were like that's very yummy. Then the next box we opened, there layed a live mouse just chilling. So Elder McCrea picked it up by the tail and we got a few pictures. Then some random guy came and took it for some reason, but he didn't do a very good job and the mouse got away. Super great day.
We have someone on date! His name is Martin and he's from Africa. We hope he continues to progress, but we worry that he is just agreeing with us cause he likes God. That's really what all the Africans here do, they just agree with us cause they love God, but don't want to go further. Also the Catholics do the same thing, so it makes it tricky. But, as you continue to find, you do find that one soul. We have this man named Steeve who is progressing well, and we hope to out him on date soon.
I didn't think things could get crazier with all these new missionnaires coming but it is. This week President suprised us with not one but 2 transfers this week so ya, but so far nothing for me or my comp. But tomorrow we think something will happen. We will see. We just keep getting more and more it's insane. Just waiting for the call "your leaving tomorrow", that's basically how it is here in this mission. Good vibes.
That's all for now I'm about to get some Québec smoked meat cause apparently it's very good here. I guess they take it seriously. We will be the judge of that. À plus!
