Volume 26: My New Life With A Trunky Elder

Salut les gars, est les filles! Comment ça va?     Well transfer weeks are always long just because of that extra day, but that means that this coming week will be shorter! This week was not horrible to say the least, but my companion is going home this transfer, AND it's a short transfer... so he's just counting down the days. Fun stuff. It's quite funny, but he just loves listening to this one song a lot, it's "I'm coming home" by someone (I don't remember). I think you all know what I'm talking about. I definitely have it all memorized by now. I mean it's a good song so no complaints there. Oh ya so you've probably now guessed that I am staying here in Sherbrooke with him. Not mad about it, it's a nice place and lots to do. Today we are going on a nice hike, going to a cheese place, apparently the best hard ice cream place in Québec, and back to the milk place "la pinte". So it's overall gonna be a good day. We have als...

Salut, tout le monde?     Hopefully y'all had a good week! It's been quite rainy all here all of a sudden, but I would have rain over snow anyday so I'll take what I can get. Hopefully the sun starts to shine some more this week!     Had a pretty great week! It was full of meetings, and since they were all in Drummondville (an hour away) we had many roadtrips this past week. We had district PDay which was awesome, then we had interviews with the President which went well, then we had zone conference in person! It was my first one finally in person and it was so great! It's nice to see other missionnaires, since that doesn't happen too often. I was also able to see some old friends, which is always nice.     Yesterday was pretty eventful because all of a sudden our data stopped working. I looked in the settings and it said that we used it all. I was freaking out cause we can't do much without data these days. But I was very confused because we all have unlim...

Salut, quoi de neuf mes peeps?     Another great week here in Sherbrooke! It really is awesome, and I'm glad to be here! Granby was definitely great, and I miss it; but I'm very grateful that there is more to do on pdays than just Walmart and Staples... I mean, those two places were fun but, ya.     So basically when I got here, one of the first things I was told by my new comp was that there was a lady that lived next door who HATES us. Me being curious asked why, and found out that apparently we make very loud noises, that shake her apartment... sounded pretty extensive to be but I guess I don't live in her apartment so I don't know. But honestly I believe shes doing it out of spite, just because she doesnt like us that much. Everytime we try to exercise, there she is banging on the wall for us to stop. It's quite funny tho, and really temping to just hit back because there's no way it's rattling her whole apartment. Also our music is always so low, I can ...

Allô, quoi de neuf?     I hope the annual spring storm has passed, and that you now have pure sunshine! It feels like it's going to be winter again here, kinda sucks, but apparently it's gonna be like 20 on Friday! Hopefully that will actually happen.     My first week in Sherbrooke wasn't all that bad. It's definitely weird just living somewhere else... but it's all good now, and I've even learned a few things already. Mostly that there are a lot of different things in this city I now call home. There is actually stuff to do, things to see, things to eat, and best of all it's the most Québecois area of the mission. So basically I thought I was doing pretty good in Granby, but sometimes I feel like I'm back to square one, but I guess it just be like that sometimes. Luckily, the members here are used to newer missionaries so they understand. Also the members here are so great! Can't wait until I can fully understand them. A lot members also means a lo...
