Volume 17: Cancelled

Image
Allo mes amis, ça va?!     Now this will be short and sweet cause frankly this week was filled with really nothing. Sounds exciting doesn't it? Not really, but sometimes you just have those kinds of weeks, and that how it goes.     This week was filled with nothing because every single lesson we had planned for cancelled. Literally every one. Even after we rebooked them to, they still got cancelled. So that made this week go by really slow, cause when lessons cancel, there isn't really much you can do; especially since you are stuck in the apartment. Luckily, I've made the attempt to take up art. So far I have found out that I not good, let's hope it gets better. It is relaxing though so I'll probably keep doing that. I have also been able to extend my studies a bit, which allows me to learn more about my purpose as a missionary. It's been going well. Finally, I was able to get a Lego set, and I'm very excited to build it.     The most exciting part of the ...

Salut tout le monde, comment ça va?     I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! I've learned that holidays don't really mean much on the mission. I definitely forgot Valentine's Day was even a thing...c'est la vie I guess. But I was able to celebrate by drinking my favorite drink. Diet coke with lemon, and French vanilla flavoring. It's quite refreshing. Shoutout to the Rushtons back home, they got me hooked!     It was a pretty good week, actually it was quite busy for once. Busy enough that I was falling asleep as 9 pm approached. No complaints other than it was in the middle of a lesson... just kidding that never happened. Anyways it definitely made for a good night sleep afterwords. There were two lessons in particular that stood out to me this week. The first one was with a lady who had been taught over a year ago, then with time got out of contact with the missionaries. Luckily a member has keep in touch with her this whole time, and we have now start...

Bonjour mes amis, comment ça va?     This week a little bit of a short one, because Pday was on Wednesday last week. But, it's always nice to have a little bit of a shorter week, especially since things can get pretty busy. First I would like to update everybody on the restrictions here in Quebec. Starting yesterday things have started to open up! So now I can get a haircut finally, and go to stores other than Walmart. Walmart is nice and all but I'm glad to be able to go somewhere else. It's also nice to be able to buy things other than food. In fact we were so excited about these stores being open we decided to go to Staples and look at pens for 30 minutes. Let me tell you that was fun! I found a lot of good pens and even highers. I will definitely be using them everyday now so it was really time well spent and will probably be going back there soon. I never thought I would have so much fun in Staples. With these new rules lifted we can now attend church with the max of 1...

Volume 14: Transfer Trash

Allo tout le monde, comment ça va?     Had a bit of a longer week here in Granby, probably because pday was changed to Wednesday. Even an extra day makes a difference, but now we got a short week coming out of it, so that promising. We had a change of pday because of transfers this week. This helps people who have to pack up, since they will be leaving to their new places tomorrow. Lucky for me I get to stay here in Granby with my trainer. Im very grateful for that because I wasn't ready for change yet, and I've learned to much from him. I have now experienced my first transfer, and I got to say it was not what I expected. I felt the most stress (other than arriving here) yet for some reason. The suspense is unreal on the day you find out what happens to you, and it's all you think about. To make things better the transfer boards don't come out till the end of the day, so the whole day we were on the edge of our seats. Another thing is that if you are assigned a leaders...
