Volume 14: Transfer Trash

Allo tout le monde, comment ça va?

Had a bit of a longer week here in Granby, probably because pday was changed to Wednesday. Even an extra day makes a difference, but now we got a short week coming out of it, so that promising. We had a change of pday because of transfers this week. This helps people who have to pack up, since they will be leaving to their new places tomorrow. Lucky for me I get to stay here in Granby with my trainer. Im very grateful for that because I wasn't ready for change yet, and I've learned to much from him. I have now experienced my first transfer, and I got to say it was not what I expected. I felt the most stress (other than arriving here) yet for some reason. The suspense is unreal on the day you find out what happens to you, and it's all you think about. To make things better the transfer boards don't come out till the end of the day, so the whole day we were on the edge of our seats. Another thing is that if you are assigned a leadership position, you get a call from the President before hand; and Elder Forsyth was convinced that he was gonna get one. So that made the stress worse cause I didn't want him to leave. We are now good. I also learned about "transfer trash", and that's when you know things about the transfers before its released. We found out lots of great stuff, all of which didn't help with the stress. One of the things we learned is that New Brunswick is now shut down along with Newfoundland. So there were a lot of changes that had to happen. Covid just sucks.

Another great, exciting, and super thing that happened this week was I found out that February is the coldest month of the year. It's true. It even snowed 30 cm last night to prove it...

The third great and exciting thing that happened this week was that we left the apartment. Yesterday we got permission to record a music video with some other Elders. It's an original song by Elder Forsyth, and Foster. I just sat there and video some stuff, that's all I was good for in that situation. It gonna turn our great. Then right after we had to get to district council (which was an hour away), so we did that. Sadly it was our one cause of transfers, and we are loosing 2/6 of them. They will be missed. We all stayed after and got lots of pictures, hope you enjoy them. At this point is had been snowing all day, you will see that in the pictures. The way home was about an hour, so not to bad. But when it's blizzarding out that kinda changes things. So it took over 2 hours, oh what fun that was. But we actually did stuff that day so I'm not complaining at all.

This week we taught a member named Martin who wanted to take the lessons again just as a refresher. He speaks both English and French, but he wants to practice his English. So in our lessons, he speaks in English and we speak in French. It's been really good because listening to French is very hard for me, I can't really pick up on the words yet. So this helps me so I can actually contribute in the conversation. It feels good. Other than that, we didn't have very many lessons. But we do have more people interested in the Book of Mormon! Thanks for everyone's prayers, they are why Granby is popin!

Sorry to anyone who joined my Facebook live, just forget it happened.

I hope everyone stays warm, it's is now snowing yet again, so thats exciting. Have a good week!
