Volume 95: The OG Duo.

Bonjour comment ça va? Wow this week was absolutely packed with stuff, and we had many suprises that we did not see coming. But in the end (as always), God was always there.

The highlight of the week was Zone Conference. Not because we all met together, but because I got to see the OG champ Elder Depew, and Elder Lopez once again. It was legendary. Elder Depew even got to stay at my apartment, and we went on exchanges together! For the first time in history, we were able to be companions outside of the MTC! Even though it was only for an hour, we made the best of it! We went street contacting and met this guy named Florian. When we started talking to him, he didn't stop walking so we walked with him! We ended up teaching the restoration, and he accepted the invitation to learn more! It was a pretty cool experience.

As for the teachings in Zone Conference, they were super good! We learned all about how we can best invite others to come unto Christ! The spirit was super strong the whole time, and of course its always nice to see all the missionares in the zone!

This week has been mostly preparing for the baptism of our friend Rémi. Sadly, Tommy won't be able to be baptised yet but he will soon! We have been finishing up teaching Rémi all that he needs to know before the big day. He has been soaking it all up like a sponge! He is so ready for baptism, I have no words. A few days ago he shared with us something that he hid from us for a little while. It was definitely a surprise, and we were worried it might change things. But I learned really quick that this man is so faithful, that nothing can stop him from making his first covenant with God. He made changes the day he informed us. Now that's faith. He is a lifelong friend, and a lifelong example for me. I am so excited to see him baptised this Saturday! Keep praying for them all!

On Sunday we had 3 of our friends on date all come to church, it was so awesome sitting right next to them. It was actually the first time for Tommy (in person), and he loved it! He even started telling everyone that he has already been a member of the church since May...but it's fine because he is so excited! In the end, we had to explain some things to him, but he will be in that position soon!

For P-day today we went to a really cool museum. I was definitely suprised! There was a whole exhibit about the history of poop. I'm not even joking. I learned about the different kinds and also where people would do it in different cultures. We saw lots of weird stuff, and we even smelled stuff too... you just have to be there to have the full experience. I would say its worth it. It's pretty unique and you're definitely not gonna get anything like it.

Today I listened to a talk by Rebecca L. Craven titled "Do What Mattereth Most". In her talk, she said "if you want to know anything, you will have to do something." When we want something in life, we can't just wait for it to come, we have to act! This has been a huge part of my mission because if you don't do anything as a missionary, you are not going to get any success. As I've learned how to act upon what the Lord wants me to do, I'm learning how to become a better follower of Christ.

À la prochaine!
