Volume 91: Don't Take Cookies From Random Men.
Hello everyone! I hope this week was awesome, because it was pretty good on my side! We had some interesting experiences, and some amazing miracles!
First of all, we had 5 friends come to church this week! It was awesome to see them all there, and they all loved what they experienced and what they felt! Our friend who is on date (Tommy), was able to come for the first time, and he truly felt the love of God! We also had a friend named Ali come (bless his soul). He is a man full of energy, and he loves talking to everyone he sees. This was also only his second time to church, so no one really knows him to begin with. The first week was fine, but this week he decided to make cookies... for everyone. It was great. I just hope everyone felt the same love that he was trying to show towards all the people in the building. Not one man, woman, or child left the church building without a cookie. I had no idea what was happening, it was all just too fast; so I decided to go with the "it's fine" mentality and I just watched while I talked to other people. Great times at church. I'm sure the cookies tasted great.
We met a new man named Rayme this week, and he is so elect! He has 4 tattoos on his face, like 5 others on his arms, and he is the most humble man ever! He has told us multiple times that he has been directed to the missionares, and he is where he needs to be now! He has even started inviting his friends to come meet with us, like what? We have plans to extend a baptismal date this week, and we pray that he will accept! Please pray for him (as well as Tommy)! He is ready to make covenants with God, and let God prevail in his life. What a beautiful time!
We did some service for someone in need! It always feels nice to serve the people around you! We also had a member dinner at the best members ever! We ate Cafe Rio, and it was basically amazing! Nice home cooked meals are the best, and its a nice change from tuna... we eat that everyday.
I listened to a really good talk this week, it is called "And We Heeded Them Not". It talks about the importance of heeding not to the people who are trying to distract us from the covenant path. As we all know it gets hard, but when we read the scriptures and ask for strength like the prophet tells us, we will recieve spiritual momentum! As I was reading this talk, 3 words came to my head. Heed Him Not. It was simple, yet profound because Satan is the biggest distraction above all, and we need to learn how to Heed Him Not. It was so powerful for me, and I know it's necessary for next few weeks to come. I know God is with me!
À plus ma famille!
