Volume 85: Culture Shock Lvl 100.

Bon matin ma famille!

Wow, what a week! I knew it was going to be something different but I don't think I was quite expecting this type of culture shock. Québec is awesome!

To start off, we received transfers. I was excited for change and I was ready to finish off my mission in a new area. But no one told me there was gonna be an explosion. Definitely not a real explosion, just an explosion of stuff if my face that I have to do. It all began when I found out I had to leave Alma at 4:00 am Thursday morning... which was probably the worst thing ever. I knew that on Wednesday night, I would be basically staying up all night. Good thing I know myself quite well. Sorry Elder Harding, we got very few hours of sleep let's just say. I would like to thank diet coke and dill pickle spitz for helping me along the way. Anyways that was just the end of Wednesday. I haven't even talked about Wednesday morning (before I even get to Québec City).

That morning we had so much service which is awesome! We went to a garderie near our house and helped some people build a shelf. When we walked in, we were greeted softly by one lady. She seemed a little confused of why we were there. Then we told her we were here to help build a shelf, and right then her face lit up! Then 5 other women came and were so stoked that we were there to help! It felt good that they didn't kick us out like we are used to.

After that we went over so an older lady's home to help clean her "jungle" of a backyard. When we say jungle it truly means jungle. She had did nothing to her yard for like over a year, so ya it was definitely a huge project. But we were excited to help! We got over there and met 3 old ladies. The whole time they called us "les garçons", and it was so funny. They also sprayed sunscreen on us, and gave us freezes. So we basically covered it all, and it was so hot. Wow. After that I said my goodbyes, and took a bunch of pictures! Alma has a place in my heart! I even got invited to 3 different chalets for when I come back! Heck ya!

The next day was the journey to Québec! We arrived there at like 8:00 am and then we did the switch! My new companion is from Idaho and we are very similar in personality so that's cool! But not in size, he is 6'5, and as y'all know I'm barley 5'10... so cool. But since I am serving with the Young Adults, that means we have weekly activities so attend with everyone! It's so fun! We also attend all 3 branches each Sunday... yesterday was hard. In the end I was at the church from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm... wow, that's gonna be fun on fast Sunday. Overall Québec is awesome! I would totally live here honestly! The people are just so nice, it's such a different vibe then Alma. Way different. This should be a great transfer! People actually stop and listen to us! Over the past few days we have had so many good conversations, and people who have accepted the message of Jesus Christ! Feels like home to me!

So basically this week has been me trying to keep up with my companion who can take one stride which is equivalent to 3 of mine, getting to know the members, our new friends, the area, and how to drive here. Wow there are so many turns and exits and I don't like it. Slowly becoming a pro, very slowly.

"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins"-2 Nephi 25:26

I know that as people come unto Jesus Christ they will find a new light in their life, and it will be forever a blessing!

Until next week!
