Volume 78: Mexican Fiesta.

Hola soy Dora, jk.

I had a dope experience with a Mexican family on Saturday! So it was overall a great week. It's all of a sudden 15 degrees here as well, that is a miracle in itself. Now we can hike on the actual ground and not on 6 feet of snow. Hype. I think we will go and try and so that today.

On Saturday we decided to deliver some banana bread to a couple who we were having a hard time getting ahold of. They came to church once, and we thought we had the adress but it was wrong. Luckily we were able to get ahold of them and they gave us the right one. We didn't tell them we would be going over on Saturday, so it was a suprise. We felt good about going so we did. When we arrived, we couldn't find the house, but we eventually did after a nice chinese lady helped us. She didn't even really speak french, but we did it. We knocked on the door and the man looked at us through the window and got scared, then he saw it was us and was like "ayyyyyye" so we knew we were in the clear. We got in and also saw there was another couple sitting at the table as well. We gave them the banana bread, and then they told us (not invited) to come sit down and eat. So we did! They had made Pico de Guio but with shrimp! It was yummy, and they kept putting food on my plate. Only one of them spoke good enough french to actually talk to us, another kinda did, but the other 2 nope. The predominant language was definitely Spanish. Let's just say there was a lot of translation happening. I could understand the general topic thanks to French but it's hard. Definitely makes me want to learn spanish. We ended up teaching the Restoration, and they all liked it! We also happened to have 1 Restoration pamphlet in spanish, what a miracle. We said we would be back Sunday to give them some copies of the Book of Mormon, and they accepted! Overall a good time, God is good!

Now it's time for... THE RAT HOUSE! So basically we have had now 12 shifts there, and I guess you could say it's done, but I would say no cause there are still so many bags of just stuff that I would say is garbage, but other people say different things. That's ok. Just do what you can. We also have about 40 bags of garbage on her back porch to clean up. I would say we might see shift 20 in the future. As for the rat. Nothing. I think it ate some of the rotten food and recieved the power of invisibility, and teleportation.

We taught our first successful english class as well, we had 6 people come! I was probably the most nervous ever cause you never know what to expect with people. Most of the people think everything we do is a scam so they don't like us. But in the end they all loved it, and we had such a fun time. We had 4 old Québécoise and 2 women. Good stuff.

Met someone who is apparently Jesus. That's a common situation.

We got transfer news yesterday! Any guesses? Yah I'm staying. But I'm so excited to see what we can do with the warm weather. I have seen this area change completely as it's been nicer. Yesterday at church we had all the active members come (13)! We also had 4 friends attend as well. We broke the attendance record, and 17 is now the new number to beat. I know we can get up to 25 easily, we are so close. Relying on the Lord has been a moto here in this area. You really can't get discouraged, here you need to just to continue and have lots of patience, that is key. This area is definitely built different. But relying on the Lord truly brings so many blessings.

That's all for today folks.
