Volume 61: What's It Like Outside?

Hey y'all, guess what? I'm still in quarentine yaaaay! It's been a blast. Just kidding kinda going crazy not gonna lie but it's almost over and dispite all this we have had some great miracles in our work as missionnaires inside the house. So I'm still in Victoriaville, and transfers were last Thursday so we are just waiting for it to be over so that we can be taken out of this sick home. I actually love it here, gonna miss it but I'll be back!

So basically when I finished that email last week, my companion started showing symptoms... haha so that's funny. So that means that we had to restart the quarentine. So we did 10 days starting Monday, and look where we are now! In the house haha, but it's been fine. We had a good new years. We had a mission meeting with the whole mission and we had the opportunity to watch an episode of the chosen! That was an awesome suprise, and it was super fun to watch. I was able to catch up on my journal, yay. I'm sorry this email really isn't gonna be very good, but that's life sometimes it sucks but in the end I feel blessed to be here and the Lord has been so good to us. Also the members have brought us food and it's been amazing!

A huge blessing that we had this week was that one of our friends accepted a baptismal date! We are so excited for Abdou and his progress on the path to Christ! He is so ready and truly loves the Book of Mormon and God! He was also found on social media so that helps my testimony grow that people are our there over technology! It works!

I will be leaving to Alma on Thursday, and oh boy I'm nervous. All I know is that the accent up there sounds like they are talking with food in their mouth plus Québécois... whooop whooop. This is definitely out of my comfort zone, so I guess that's why I'm going there. The Lord's plan is great, and it's perfect, even tho we don't understand. I've also started come follow me in French and it's been so fun! I can't wait to continue and learn more about the old testament! It's a hard one. We have also been challenged to read the Book of Mormon in 3 months as a mission with the topic "the first 2 great commandments" in mind, which are to love God and love others! I can't believe how much I've found already, it's quite cool!

I also made some resolutions for the rest of my mission, and I'm going to try really hard to keep up with them!

1. All studies in French

2. Come follow me each week

3. Keep up in your journal

Finally gonna end this with not good news lol, Québec is once again in lockdown and curfew like last year when I was in Granby. So that kinda sucks, we won't be able to meet with members or anything like that. All the lessons and stuff have to be online. Also church is online. It's been a grind here, and really didn't expect it, but I know it's not gonna be too long. This is really just a little bump in the path to God. He knows how to fix it, he knows how to get over it. Just gotta turn to him, which is what I've been doing.

I hope everyone stays safe, and had a great new year! Catch me up north in Alma!

Bonne année!
