Volume 58: The Petit MAssage

Ahhhhhhhhhhh that's how I feel right now.

We just got transfer news for a mini transfer that we are having right before Christmas so that the people that are actually going home will be able to be home for Christmas. Makes sense, but Elder Felix is getting thrown out of Victoriaville, and I'm getting not one but 2 new companions lol, #triolifeagain which is good. But it's gonna be a hard goodbye to my first trainee. We have been together for 4 months! That's a lot. But it was a good time. At least we are staying in the same zone, so that will be good. Other than that, right now we are driving to Drummondville again to do our district p-day gift exchange! I'm so excited! Also we are racing the Sisters in Victoriaville, and we are gonna win. There are personal items on the line, so this means war. Lucky there is absolutely zero snow so we are good. It's been so windy here, all of it is gone. It's basically spring now.

Funny story, as I was on echanges we decided to go street contacting and it was gonna be so fun. As we pulled up and started walking we see a lady right away. We said hi, and she literally stopped before we did so we could talk to her. That doesn't happen lol, people usually don't want to talk to us. Anyways, we were having a great conversation, and long story short, when it was time to invite her to learn more, I said.

Est-ce que tu es intéressé d'apprendre davantage avec un petit mAssage... not mEssage. BIG difference...

So basically I asked a young woman if she wanted a massage, not a message. I guess I just pronounced it wrong lol, she was very weirded out but we went past it and she laughed in the end. Love French.

This week was filled with cookies, wow. We made over 200 easily. We had this idea to make a lot and then deliver them to non members, members, and friends of the church. It's been going well, we still have lots but we are slowly having the capacity to deliver them all. It's been fun. The idea is to do ding dong ditch and leave cookies so it's fun. We also made cookies with the primary kids and that was really fun as well! I tried really hard to make them good, and it worked for like half of them, then I gave up.

I lost my fanny pack this week as well. Now that was a horrible time. I went to District Council and when I went to look for it in the car (I thought I left it in there) it wasn't in the car. So I was like it's probably at home. Then we go home and it wasn't at home. So then started the panic. I looked for 3 days and couldn't find it. I knew it had to be in the car but it just wasn't being found. I prayed a lot, looked a lot and still nothing. Earlier on Thursday when I thought it was at our house (we were on echanges) I got a phone call at like 9 o clock at night and I was like that's weird. We were all having a great time at echanges so I was like I can call back tomorrow. Throughout the next 3 days I tried and he never answered. So I didn't think anything about it. Until I was freaking out more and retracing all my steps and still having no luck. I decided to call our friend again and try to see him for a prayer. When I called he was like are you missing somethin? I was like ya definitely, and he said I left my bag at his house... so lesson learned. Answer the phone the first time, or else you will put yourself in 3 days of not needed stress. The guy also has a little kitten named Flapi, and that's how he spells it she is adorable.

It didn't help that I had to give a talk that same week. So I had been preparing that for a long long time, then I had to translate it in French lol, I like doing it in English so I can use bigger words then translate it. But it definitely takes longer to do that. Luckily, I had a less active member help me with it. Shes awesome. In the end, the talk was finished, and she ended up coming to church again! This time with her daughter! It was a huge blessing.

On Thursday we recorded our big song that we have been practicing for like months. I'm singing in it sooo watch out. Definitely not what I vibe with but I had no choice. Singing in the car with no people listening is so much better. That's not what happened here. But I absolutely love my district so it's all good in the hood. We have also been advertising a lot for our Christmas concert that is this Saturday! If anyone wants to come to Victoriaville to listen, come on down! It's for everyone! Even the grinch.

Finally, we had a baptism!! Our awesome friend Jasmine was baptized yesterday! What an amazing day! We are so grateful that she made te decision to be baptized and that it was all able to workout with no problems. She was so happy and so ready!

Well we beat the sisters to Drummondville and they are not happy lol, hope you have a great week! Byeeeee!
