Volume 48: Salmonella And Baptism

Hello, Hola, salut.

I would call this week a typical missionary week, not much excitement through the week, just a normal week which isn't bad that's for sure. Until the weekend that's when things got spicy. With a lot of prayer and hard work we were able to reach our goals for new friends found and people that church. That was a blessing! The Lord loves effort! It's also crazy that October is like on Friday, whattttt. Anyways. Here is the story (I wrote it to someone in a text already and honestly I'm to lazy to write it again so ya):

So basically there was a baptism and it was for some girls in our branch who just turned 8! We went cause there were gonna be some new people to talk to there. We didn't have to plan anything cause it wasn't our baptism, it was all for the family, but we would of definitely helped if they asked lol. So we decided to go to the church before to do stuff right before the baptism. But a thought went through my head "who will fill up the font where they will actually be baptized" so I like crap they could very well assume the missionaries will do it cause that's just what happens sometimes. Also baptism fonts take forever to fill (it's like a big tub but small pool) so we were panicking and ran over to the church 2 hours before not thinking it was gonna be enough time. So we cleaned it and filled it up as fast as possible so that it would all be ready. Then an hour later a member came and said they were told to do It... AND it only took 1 hour to fill... we didn't know obviously so basically the water was a little cold #oops. It's fine, I only heard one person say "c'est froid" so we chill.

The people that we ended up talking to were friends with a member that invited them. They are very cool and interested in learning more! Then on Sunday we gave them a chapel tour, and explained all the paintings! It went well, and they accepted the Book of Mormon! That's a plus.

Today I tried the most Québécois thing in my life... ready... Maple Syrup Poutine. I had to try it, but let me say, I won't be trying it again. On a scale of -5 to 5 I would give it a -2 so ya you can see what it's is like with that. The first bites were fine then I just felt like death. It's all apart of the experience Russ.

I also daily vlogged the crazy baptism day so stay tuned on my Instagram. I talk a lot about Salmonella for some reason, idk how it will turn out, I just hope it's not stupid. Mais en tout cas!

Ya that's basically it, we had district pday today and we hiked up the "mountain" here. Its not even a hill tho so. Then we ate icecream at 11am, I had maple. It was good.

Ok bye là
