Volume 47: I Saw An Apostle Of The Lord

Yo yo salut.

This week was like one day, we had many different appointments and meetings that was just like bam bam bam. Now it's Monday! So that's pretty cool. Needless to say that it was a pretty spiritual week. We had zone conference, interviews, echanges, and we got to hear from Elder Quinton L. Cook. He's an apostle. Of the Lord. That's pretty cool. Also Elder Depew my companion from the MTC is coming to Canada, ya that's what I said. So that's super exciting! Only 10 more sleeps, AND 17 more for Elder Harned who was also in my MTC district! I really hope that I will be able to see them both!

So zone conference was awesome! We learned about inviting others, and how important it is to remember that we are to invite everyone to come into Christ because no one is left out in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are to always remember the importance of that!-(2 Nephi 6:33) It definitely changed my perspective on things a bit, and has made it easier to talk to people since we are allowed to street contact now. It's definitely a different thing just going up to people in French lol but it's getting better. Training has brought many blessings it's undescribale. I've been really working on relying on the spirit, because that's the way of doing everything! It's been a life changer! "Your confidence and faith should be in Christ, not yourself." Yes having confidence in ourselves is important, but having confidence that the Lord will help you in all that you do is even more important. That's a life changer.

Exchanges were fun! We went to Drummondville with Elder Nipko and Martin to learn from each other. We did! We also ate the best meat I've ever had. We got a call at like 4h30 from their bishop and he invited us to a BBQ with all the youth! Later I found out he was from Brazil, so it was a Brazilian BBQ and it was the best thing I've eaten. I want to eat it again lol. Then we taught an older lady who thought that we were the temple class preparing her for it. We aren't, that's a different class, but she didn't know that. Lol. We also met a lady who spoke 10 languages, half of them were different African dialects that are not similar at all. Being bilingual here means nothing lol it's fine.

Then we had the special conference with the apostle Elder Cook, Elder Johnson and Elder Kieren (2 members of the seventy), and Elder Carter who is the area 70! And all their wives ofc, so it was a big deal. We had ALL the missionnaires in the while mission come so it was a phat réunion! There were so many Nissan rouges there. And I saw some faces that I've never seen! Like Sister Jensen from back home! It was so awesome to see her! Also all the other English speaking people cause I'm way up in the boonies lol but it was a good time. I could talk about the conference forever I have 4 pages of notes, but I don't have time for that. It was just the most spiritual thing ever, and very encouraging! Elder Cook bore a strong testimony of the prophet, and many other things. One of the things he said that stood out to me was "Everyone that you love is blessed because you are a servant of the Lord." It was very heartwarming!

Keep up the great work, and have fun at schoooool! :))
