Volume 29: Stranded With A Side Of Threat

Salut y'all!

Hope everyone is just so good! This week was quick but it was long... don't know how that works but thats how it felt so ya, definitely glad it's over. This week we have zone conference and I'm very excited for that!

Today was a great pday! Since Elder Salmon has 2 weeks left, he wanted to go to Québec City ans get some things! So we got permission to leave our area, and we went this morning! Wow it was quite something, and I'm very glad I was able to go! Not sure when I'll be able to go back so we got a bunch of great things, and had poutine of course! It's such a beautiful place, lots to do and lots to see! We walked around the boardwalk and took lots of pictures! Luckily since it's a Tuesday, there weren't very many people so we were able to walk around and see everything with no issues. It was also a beautiful day which made it better!

Crazy story that happened on Sunday! So we have this guy who is a member, and apparently has schizophrenia. He came to church this week which was great cause he hasn't been for a while. But after church he started talking to the bishop for a hot minute, and we were asked to keep an eye on them by the Bishops wife. I guess she was thinking something was gonna happen. So we watched them for a good 45 minutes and he walked away from the bishop a few times and then came back a few times, so we didn't know what was happening. In the end, we had to call the police cause he threatened the bishop, and we might not have church this week in person just in case. So ya that was fun. He said the bishop didn't have much time left, and basically we were all of the Devil. Just typical stuff here. We probably won't see him again.

Now for what's happening in my life right as you read this email. Right now we are on the side of the road because we now have a destroyed tire. It really just made this day better, and it reminded me when I did the same thing last summer with some friends... I guess the tradition continues. So I will be here waiting for like an hour, but at least we got Krispy Kreme doughnuts. We will be eating those for this duration, and doing who knows what. At least someone stopped and said hi to us. That was nice. So basically Elder Salkon hit a big traffic cone in the road... his comment "they should really make those less hitable". Yah they should... anyways so we will be giving here for a bit, so any suggestions of what to do would be great.

Other than that we had lots of lessons, and one of our friends are progressing quite nice! We've had some better lessons and now she doesn't believe that the Book of Mormon is from the devil, so I mean that's called progress if I've ever heard it!

A scripture that I loved this week was all thanks to my mom, it's in Alma 10: 24-25, and it talks about Alma and Amulek. They had hard times trying to spread the gospel, and I was able to relate to that now. In verse 24 it says that the people were crying out, mocking and just not being nice, but in verse 25 it says that Amulek cried the mightier. It helped me to remember that when we have the spirit with us, we will always be able to cry the mightier, and we will have nothing to worry about.

Love you all, and have a great week!
