Volume 10: No Food=Miracles

Bonjour mes amis, ça va?!

 

 

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year, and saw some fireworks! I was lucky enough to see many! We were just chilling in the apartment, and we heard a loud noise from outside. We both knew exactly what it was, so we ran out in shorts and a shirt to enjoy them! Not cold at all.

 

 

This week was FULL of miracles! It was crazy to see it all unfold in the span of two days! This week we had 2 missionary training meetings. We learned about the importance of Christlike attributes, and how they will bless us each day when we exercise them. It was such a spiritual experience for everyone, and I'm grateful for President, and Sister Low for making that happen! After the last meeting on Saturday, they invited the whole mission to fast for miracles, to have faith for new baptisma, and to finally get a 4th stake in Quebec. So we did as we were told, and let me tell you; even though it was a rough one, it was worth it. Later that night when we had our weekly zoom meeting with the mission, we were supposed to share what we thought about the missionary devotional; but instead we all shared our miracles! I was amazed to see how many people experienced miracles, since it hadn't been a day yet! The spirit was booming, and my testimony on fasting has definitely grown! Here are some of the miracles from this week!

 

 

1) The man that just showed up to church last week, came again! He even bore his testimony! I was in shock, and a little nervous cause I had no idea what he was gonna say. But he testified about Jesus Christ, and it was perfect! He is an example to me cause I convinced myself not to share mine cause I panicked and doubtedmt French (might need a pep talk Soeur McCurdy)... its fine, but he showed me up. His name is Yvonne and he is awesome! He really wants to be taught to, so that was a huge miracle! It has been hard since there are very few people here to teach, so I dont have much experience yet. This is a huge blessing! Little background knowledge of Yvonne, he lives 30 min away, and he walks in the cold just to come to church!

 

 

2) We had the most amount of people at church yet this fast Sunday! It was a record breaking 23. I know what you are all thinking, we are killing the game. No need to be jealous. I dont know how we were able to arrange rides for everyone, but we did!

 

 

3) We are in charge of the FHE each Monday, and usually it's pretty crazy since we got some French, and some English. We have to translate a lot. And, there are non members that attend, so that's fun to. But yesterday we Chad a great lesson about the music in the gospel. It's now my new favorite one! You all should watch it! It's called "music in the gospel", crazy stuff. It's on gospel library.

 

 

4) I put up a Book of Mormon ad on Facebook market (my new favorite thing to do), on Sunday night. When I woke up, I got 4 responses! I was shocked, I guess people search more at night? Beats me but it was awesome!

 

 

5) Now I like this one cause it involves packages. So Elder Forsyth, and I have been doing some shopping on pday cause that's all we can do really. So we are waiting for many many packages now. Its very exciting. So we were supposed to get one yesterday but when were were tracking it, it looked like the package got left at a different house. We checked our mailbox many times to make sure. We were sad cause we wanted our packages lol, so we walked and looked for it at a random house. We didn't find anything. Then we decided to look into mailbox again, and it was there. Love when that happens.

 

 

6) Wow this just happened, I get to see elder depew<3(boo), tomorrow. Life is good.

 

 

We also went to the zoo, andthat was cool, and cold. We saw some snow leopards, red pandas, and best of all monkeys. I know my whole MTC district will be jealous when they find out.
