Volume 8: Granby, Population~17
Salut mon amis! Comment ça va?
I got to say the first week was kind of a long one but it was also great one, I've already learned so much in such a short time. The first few days was a little kick in the face for some reason. It was probably because I was shocked that was actually there in Quebec with all the Frenchies. Actually it was probably the fact that when I got into the car with the two elders that picked me up they had three lessons, and a meeting all happening at once and they wanted me to be a part of them so that was terrifying. But all turned out good in the end. The two elders that got me were Elder Yanez and Elder McCoy. They're great missionaries and I'm grateful for them! But the apartment will be forever known as The Mouse House.
My new home is a little town an hour away from Montreal called Granby. Its a great place to live, but there's not much to do other than go to Walmart and the church. The church is the most amazing thing I've ever seen because it's in a strip mall, and when we pulled up to it I didn't even notice it. Our Branch consists of 17 people that's right 17 so that's fun. I really do enjoy it though everyone is super nice and very quebecois so that's a challenge in itself. My companion is Elder Forsyth. He is an amazing singer and can play any instrument. He was also in charge of all the Social Media stuff and he was detected other recently so he knows a lot about all that stuff. This means that we did a lot of video editing. That's basically all we did, video edit and even make videos ourselves. It has been very fun being creative with his talent and my half skill with the piano and ukulele.
Quick little spiritual experience with my companion. We were talking about our weekly plan, and we were on the referral section. As we were discussing it we got a phone call from someone. When we answered the phone we found out it was a less active member who had a referral for us! We hope to now meet this person this Christmas and help them feel the Light of Christ! I love how the Lord Works in so many different ways!
One more thing, I decided to clean the fridge out because it kind of smelled bad. As you can see in the picture below more than half of the things in the fridge for overdue so that was a fun job for me! Now the fridge doesn't smell anymore! Yay for the the little miracles in life.
I love all of you! Have a great Christmas!
Love Elder May
